Thanks for sharing your experience Shea! It’s funny — when I initially shared my experience with friends, several friends mentioned that they deliberately look for people with cameras to take photos of them. I guess the assumption is that people with cameras either are more open to taking other people’s photos and likely better photographers as well.

Your experience makes me realize that just because someone is taking photos/likes taking photos, doesn’t necessarily mean they want to take photos of me.

I think your “photo” strategy is a fair one. Exchange taking someone else’s photo for one of yourself.
